A leather covered tibetan trunk from Tibet,with metal accents and some of the trunk with fur insets. ACtual color is slightly darker than the photos. More akin to a dark maroon colored leather. Tibetan people belives that the yak skin could drive the bad luck away and keep the good luck stay.

Usually we use two layers to pack them, the inner layer is by the plastic foam, second layer(outside of the first layer) is the four-layers paper carton,big items finially packed with the strong plastic strip.usually 80-90 pieces of middle size chest can be fit into a 20- foot container .

tibetan furniture differs from other Oriental furniture by the frequent use of lacquer coatings ,hand painting ,and the precise carving , to acheive this unique style artisans must spend countless hours perfecting their craft, Tibetan furniture are usually large and heavy with miniaml hardware, they are ofen painted or decorated with sliver ,copper ,metal works and contain some carving or relife. Buffets . alter tables and consoles were common and would often houd incense burners and other buddhist relics. Chairw were very ornate and come in sveral classic styles that would be copied with slight varations, Table were constructed of haavey solid pine wood ,they were bulit low to the ground ,as chair were not popular and sitting on the floor was the morm for most of tibetan people praying .
